The Dallas Public Library announced the Dallas Virtual Book Festival this week. The library is sharing the work of great north Texas authors on its website. Since all of our beloved spring festivals in Texas have been canceled, the Dallas library hopes everyone can get a taste of the joy of a book festival, discovering a title you haven’t read after hearing the enthusiasm and delight from the writer reading from their own work.

Children’s Books

Jen Betton reads her book, Hedgehog Needs A Hug; Jennifer Drez reads from her children’s book, Goodnight Dallas; Rosie J. Pova reads her picture book, If I Weren’t With You; Kena Sosa reads her newest book, The Unhuggables; and J Tillman reads from her children’s book, Just Like Me.

Middle Grade Books

Rebecca Balcárcel reads from her award-winning novel, The Other Half of Happy; Michael Merschel reads from his first novel, Revenge of the Star Survivors; Julie Murphy reads from her middle-grade novel, Dear Sweet Pea; and Katie Proctor reads from her upcoming middle-grade novel, My Storied Year.

Young Adult Books

Draegon Grey reads from his book Lorenz Traveling Diaries; Lyn I. Kelly reads from his YA book, Dark Lands Requiem; C. Michael Morrison reads from his YA sci-fi novel, Hannah Goodheart and the Guardian of Time;  Melanie Sumrow reads her newest novel, The Inside Battle; and Alex Temblador reads from her debut novel, Secrets of the Casa Rosada.

Adult Books
