New York Times bestselling authors descend on Fort Worth, February 15-17, 2019 for final ConDFW

Fort Worth—Hugely popular writer Charlaine Harris (HBO’s “True Blood,” NBC’s “Midnight, Texas”), who lives in Central Texas, and author Yoon Ha Lee (Dragon Pearl from Disney-Hyperion), who was born in Houston, headline the eighteenth and final ConDFW Conference (www.condfw.org) at the Radisson Hotel Fossil Creek. These two amazing authors lead the way for a host of national and local authors and artists from the literary world of science fiction and fantasy. Exhibitors will fill the hall with books, both new and rare, collectibles, comics, original art, toys, games, and more.

Harris is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Sookie Stackhouse and Midnight, Texas, fantasy/mystery series. Harris' books have inspired HBO’s “True Blood,” NBC’s “Midnight, Texas,” and the Aurora Teagarden movies for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

Lee’s novel Ninefox Gambit won the Locus Award for best first novel and was a finalist for the Hugo, Nebula, and Clarke awards.  Its sequel, Raven Stratagem, is a finalist for the Hugo award, and the final book in the trilogy, Revenant Gun, was published by Solaris Books in June 2018.  His middle-grade space-opera Dragon Pearl was published this month by Disney-Hyperion. Lee’s short fiction has appeared in Tor.com, F&SF, Lightspeed, Clarkesworld, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, and other venues.

Harris and Lee are joined by dozens of additional award winning authors to round out the speaker list. These talented and creative people support a multitude of panel talks and programming events throughout the weekend. Notable events include Q&A and signings with the guests of honor, charity book swap, and a large table-top gaming area.

ConDFW is a family friendly entertainment conference filled with authors and books, artists and art, panel discussions, interactive art events, and of course literature! It offers one of the best intimate settings in Texas to interact directly with the guests and panelists. It is completely run by volunteers who are passionate about the convention.
