Trouble is brewing in Texas. Here are two page-turning tales that I have added to my TBR list. The type of book to settle into a chair with, add a favorite brew, and get ready for intrigue, murder, suspense, and magic. 

Frozen in Jeopardy by USA Today bestselling author Melanie D. Snitker had my attention with the title, which I found intriguing, and her characters, including a cop and K-9 partner. How could I resist? 

With one of my favorite months, October, just around the corner, I’m getting ready for my Halloween reads. Tessa Bryant gets things off to a great start with Magic, Mayhem and Murder. Witches, werewolves, vampires, and a talking cat. Could it get any more perfect?
