ALPINE

Front Street Books is celebrating Independent Bookstore Day (IBD 2023) with exclusive IBD merch and giveaways—including a 5-star chocolate bar with purchase PLUS their much-loved Blind Date with a Book display making a guest appearance.

AUSTIN

Black Pearl Books is premiering their 2023 limited edition T-shirts for IBD 2023, so make sure to grab one before they are gone! They will be hosting an all-day celebration with fun giveaways and prizes along with the unveiling of the winning T-shirt design.

BookPeople celebrates Indie Bookstore Day with trivia (@2PM), merch, free books, and more!

Reverie Books will celebrate 4/29 with giveaways, golden ticket hunts, and more.

DEL VALLE

Em Dash Books is holding a special pop-up event in conjunction with Live Oak Brewing Company for Indie Bookstore Day! Come enjoy 20+ vendors, food trucks, live music, and more! It will be quite a party, and you don't want to miss it.

FORT WORTH

The Dock Bookshop will celebrate with discounts, autographed books, spin and win, Blind Date with a Book, photo booth, and more!

Monkey and Dog Books hopes you can join in the IBD fun on Saturday 4/29 for morning mimosas, prize wheel spin with purchase, giveaways, and drawings all day.

GEORGETOWN

Lark & Owl Booksellers has a full day of events planned for IBD 2023!

GRANBURY

The IBD 2023 party at Arts & Letters Bookstore will last all day with giveaways of free books and other gifts with purchase. They will also be hosting New York Times Bestselling Author Lori Wilde in a book signing from 3 to 5, and Hood County Animal Control will be set up with some adoptable dogs. Puppies and books?! Count us in!

HOUSTON

Join CLASS Bookstore for their first in-store sale to celebrate IBD 2023. Spend $25 or more and get a free book from the giveaway table while supplies last. Also 50% off books in the “Last Book Sale” section and promoting the Libro.fm sale.

Blue Willow Bookshop celebrates the 10th Annual Indie Bookstore Day with toddler story time at 9:30am, a selection of exclusive Indie Bookstore Day merchandise, mystery ARCs to give away, afternoon drinks, lots of talk about our audiobook provider, Libro.fm (and their IBD sale!), and, of course, great conversations and book recommendations with our Houston neighbors.

LUBBOCK

Wild Lark Books has events all day Friday and Saturday for IBD 2023, including blind date with a book, coffee truck, author reading, create a quote wall, make-your-own bookmark, and more.

McALLEN

J'aime Les Livres will celebrate IBD 2023 with a scavenger hunt and more.

SAN ANGELO

Old Town Books will celebrate their 4th IBD in business with on-going sales, 25% off poetry books, refreshments, and a store-wide sale on everything.

SAN ANTONIO

The Twig Book Shop is hosting Miss Anastasia Joy on Independent Bookstore Day—4/29. Twiglets of all ages are welcome to celebrate from 10:30 AM-Noon. Join two special guests—the Very Hungry Caterpillar and Rainbow Fish—and celebrate their anniversaries. Festivities include storytimes, snacks, crafts, photo ops, and hourly raffle giveaways.

Nowhere Bookshop hopes you can join in the IBD 2023 fun all day Saturday, 4/29. Join them for Blind Date with Books and a giveaway. In addition, they’ll have a photobooth, store scavenger hunt and coloring pages, cupcake & pink bubbles special in the café, and IBD exclusives on sale.

TAYLOR

Curio Mrvosa will have free coffee and chocolate chip cookies and limited-edition Curio Mrvosa premiums with purchase. They are part of the Indie Bookstore Passport for the greater Austin area as well.

WACO

Fabled Bookshop & Cafe will celebrate Independent Bookstore Day on 4/29 from 9a-9p, highlighting “the truth that Readers are Leaders!” In conjunction with the event, they will be raising funds for Dolly Parton’s organization, Imagination Library, that sends books to children birth-5 years every month for free.

WAXAHACHIE

O’Brien’s Bookshop plans great IBD sales, along with door prizes and a chance to win a tote stuffed with fantastic treasure.
