AUTHOR AWARDS and ACCOLADES
Mary Alford placed first in the 2024 Daphne du Maurier Awards in the Short Romantic Suspense category with her novel DON’T CLOSE YOUR EYES.
A NOBLE CUNNING: THE COUNTESS AND THE TOWER by Patricia Bernstein received first place for a Catholic Novel in the Catholic Media Association Awards.
KB Brookins won the 2024 Stonewall Barbara Gittings Literature Award from the American Library Association for FREEDOM HOUSE.
James Lee Burke received the Diamond Dagger from the Crime Writers’ Association, awarded for a lifetime contribution to crime writing in the English language.
AGAINST ALL ENEMIES by Vannetta Chapman won first place in the Mainstream Mystery Suspense category of the 2024 Daphne du Maurier Awards.
Suzanne Seifert Groves placed first in the Memoir/Biography category of the 2024 July International Impact Book Awards for her memoir YOU’LL SEE: A STORY OF NARCISSISTIC ABUSE, SURVIVAL, AND MY JOURNEY TO UNDERSTAND.
Troy Hollan won the 2024 American Fiction Awards in the Historical Adventure category for CLUCKED.
THE FANCY FLAMINGO by Maygon Lucart won a gold Mom’s Choice Award.
Kevin Prufer won the UNT Rilke Prize for THE FEARS. The $10,000 prize recognizes a book written by a mid-career poet demonstrating ‘exceptional artistry and vision’.
Marit Weisenberg’s THIS GOLDEN STATE is a 2025 Lincoln Award nominee.
Reavis Wortham has the honor of having his book HARD COUNTRY chosen as the inaugural selection for the City of Garland’s One Book, One Garland event.
FINALISTS
Grace Blair made the finalist list for the 2024 American Fiction Awards in the Novella category for POSEIDEN’S ATLANTIS ADVENTURE.
LIGHT UP THE SKY by Leah Vidal Carrosquilla is a finalist in the 2024 International Book Awards in the Religious: Christian Inspirational category.
ML Condike was a finalist for the American Fiction Awards in the Best New Fiction category for her novel THE DESK FROM HOBOKEN.
Sarah Cypher’s THE SKIN AND ITS GIRL made the shortlist for the $25,000 Ursula K. Le Guin Prize for Fiction. The winner will be named on October 21.
MALAS by Marcela Fuentes made the longlist for The Center for Fiction First Novel Prize.
DRAW A HARD LINE: An E.J. Kane Mystery by Micheal E. Jimerson was a finalist in the Western category of the 2024 American Fiction Awards.
Marian O’Shea Wernicke was named a finalist in the 2024 American Fiction Awards in the Historical Fiction category with her novel OUT OF IRELAND.
